You should not miss out the 8 km long circular apples walk and the biotope in Naz. 10 minutes away is the fortress Fortezza and the active monastery Abbazia di Novacella with its renowned abbey winery and a library that is well worth a visit.

Bressanone is the nearest town, delighting with its beautiful arcades, many shops, the impressive cathedral, the nativity museum and the pharmacy museum. It is a lovely place for strolling around and shopping. The local mountain of Bressanone is Plose: Explore it and the Dolomites - UNESCO World Heritage.

In Val Pusteria the city of Brunico invites visitors with its interesting city centre and the MMM-Messner Mountain Museum RIPA. A further Messner Mountain Museums, MMM Corones, is found on Plan de Corones.

Bolzano, the capital of South Tyrol, excites with its Ötzi museum, the modern art museum Museion, the victory monument with its exhibition, the castle Castel Roncolo and MMM Firmian, the main museum in Reinhold Messner’s series of museums.
From Bolzano we recommend a detour to Lago di Caldaro, the warmest swimming lake in the Alps. The Renon mountain with the most beautifully sculptured earth pyramids in Europe, Castelrotto with the Spatzen museum dedicated to one of South Tyrol’s most successful folk music groups, and Alpe di Siusi, the largest interconnected Alpine pasture in Europe, are not far.

If you are interested in plants you should not miss the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano. The botanical gardens excite with various landscaped gardens, splendid flowers and the Touriseum, a museum of tourism.
